This is another recipe from my little green book but this definitely could be a totally modern recipe even though I last made it in my twenties. It is such a yummy recipe and the balls could be eaten without the sauce as a snack. In fact, I kept three out of the sauce and snuck them away into the fridge so I can have them tomorrow. It was just as well I did, because there wasn't a scrap of food left when the guys left the table. Spinach & Cottage Cheese Balls - Low Fodmap Print Author: Suzanne Perazzini Serves: 4-5 Ingredients For the balls 400gms/14oz lactose-free cottage cheese 250gms/8.8oz cooked spinach 3 tbsp tapioca flour 3 slices gluten-free bread, crumbed 2 eggs 100gms/3.5oz grated Parmesan cheese Salt & pepper 3 tbsp white rice flour For the tomato sauce 500gms/17.6 oz of canned tomatoes, chopped up 1 tsp dried oregano 1 tsp of garlic-infused oil Salt & pepper Method For the balls Mix all the ingredients except the white rice flour together. … [Read more...] about Spinach and Cheese Balls

Low Fodmap Bread Rolls & Mixed Vegetables
The Video If you have irritable bowel syndrome and are on a low Fodmap diet, then you will probably miss bread. I have a recipe for you for bread rolls made with tapioca flour and white rice flour. They are delicious and solve all your problems. Watch the video for instructions. The Recipe This is a simple recipe with few ingredients but it is a special favourite around these parts. There is nothing quite like crispy potato cubes fried in butter. The green beans create a balanced meal together with some protein. Just remember that on the low Fodmap diet, we can only have 10 green beans so that would be 30 pieces since the beans are cut into three. Mixed Vegetables - Low Fodmap Print Author: Suzanne Perazzini Ingredients 3 potatoes 250 gms/8.8 oz green beans 3 tbsp butter 1 tsp garlic-infused oil 1 tbsp oil Salt & pepper Method Peel the potatoes, cut them into small cubes and boil for 3 minutes. 7 Puzzle Pieces to Support your IBS & Low Fodmap Chicken Cacciatore
The Video In order to support your irritable bowel syndrome, you need to have a well balanced lifestyle made up of seven elements. I explain what they are in my video. Transcript of the Video – 7 elements of a balanced lifestyle Welcome to this video. Today I'm going to tell you about the different lifestyle pieces that make up a balanced lifestyle that supports your IBS. I consider that there are seven puzzle pieces that need to be put together to create this balanced lifestyle I'm talking about. The Diet The first one - and that's the main one, the foundation piece - is the diet, the low FODMAP diet. Without that you're never going to succeed. So that's your first piece to put in place. And then we move on to another six pieces. Sleep The next one is sleep. Getting eight hours of good quality sleep a night - that is so essential. Chicken Prawn Salad & My New Cookbook
The Video My new cookbook, Low Fodmap Snacks, has been out for a few weeks but I have been so busy with a new project that I haven't really officially announced it. I tell you about it in the video. You can go HERE to read more about it and to purchase either the PDF or the hard copy from Amazon. The Recipe This is a simple salad for a lazy night. If you have leftover chicken and/or boiled potatoes, it's even better. It is fresh and wholesome and also feels like something special with the addition of the prawns. You could always add various other vegetables like grated carrot, chopped zucchini and celery or radishes. I actually bought the prawns raw and cooked them in a little butter but it would be simpler to buy them cooked. I always leave the tails on because they look so pretty but Dario tells me off. I guess his generation like an easy life! Low Fodmap Meal Plan & Chicken Chasseur
The Video Many find it difficult to create a sensible meal plan on the Low Fodmap diet for irritable bowel syndrome. In this video, I tell you what I eat on a typical low Fodmap day. Transcript Breakfast Welcome to this video. Today, I'm going to tell you what I eat on a typical low-FODMAP day, just to give you an idea of a balanced day as far as all of the food groups are concerned. For breakfast, I have oatmeal or cornflakes with milk. I'm not lactose intolerant but if you were lactose intolerant of course you’d have to have a lactose-free milk, and then I have a kiwifruit cut up on top of that. I have IBS on the constipation side, and both oatmeal and kiwifruit are good for that. If you're more on the diarrhea side, oatmeal might be a little too much fiber for you. So the cornflakes would be better and maybe you could have a kiwifruit at a different time. But just remember that kiwi does have a bit of a laxative effect. Morning Snack Three hours later, I have a morning … [Read more...] about Low Fodmap Meal Plan & Chicken Chasseur
