Studies show that there is a connection between GERD (reflux) and irritable bowel syndrome. The chances are that, if you have symptoms of one of these conditions, you could also have symptoms of the other. Have a look at my video to hear more about it. Transcript of the Video Through my conversations with people with IBS, I have found many also have GERD or reflux. The Connection According to a 2009 study published in Digestive Diseases and Sciences, a first diagnosis of either IBS or GERD significantly increases the risk of a subsequent diagnosis of the other condition. IBS and Type A Personalities & Stuffed Vegetables
The Video Is there a link between irritable bowel syndrome and the Type A personalities who create stress in their lives through being perfectionists, hard workers and overachievers? We are people who like to do things well, and we're also a type of personality that wants to be approved of and to have acknowledgement for what we do as well. We do it really because we have to - to be organized and to work really, really hard and to overachieve. … [Read more...] about IBS and Type A Personalities & Stuffed Vegetables
